Plotting a vector function

I can't figure out how to draw an vector function in plot.
Here's an example for the vector function:

I also don't know of a way how to plot
f(x,y) = [y^2;2*x*(y+1)]
if this is what you mean.
You can plot each of the two component functions separately, if this suffices.

If understood your question correctly, you may use plotting vector field plot functions of MATLAB, e.g.: quiver(), quiver3(), compass(), feather().
