How i can concatenate the binary values of each two cell arrays into one binary value cell array?

Hello matlab community, I want to concatenate the binary values of each two cell arrays into one binary value cell array, for ex.
as = {'1011','0001','0100','0110','1111','0111'}
asc= {'10110001','01000110','11110111'}

str=strcat(as(1:2:end),as(2:2:end))
str = 1×3 cell array
{'10110001'} {'01000110'} {'11110111'}
