How could I show tension in a bunjee chord in simulink and simscape?

2 views (last 30 days)
Right now I need to see if there is a way to show the tension of a bungee chord in sinulink and simscape I don’t know if there is a block for that type of tension but I’m pretty sure that I might have to code a subroutine and insert that into my model if I want the tension of a bungee chord

Hi Michael,
I understand that you are looking for a block that can enable the tension transfer.
Link to the documentation of the block “Rope”: Physical connection that enables tension transfer - MATLAB (mathworks.com)
There is a great example that shows a block and tackle system that is represented by the Belt Pulley and Rope blocks from the Simscape™ Driveline™ library. https://www.mathworks.com/help/sdl/ug/compound-pulley.html
