I am trying to install matlab 2014b (32 bit version) in a 64 bit processor, windows 8. I already have matlab 2014b 64 bit version. I am getting an error of :
server could not connect to registry.
If you are already using the service, first uninstall the service and try again.
I uninstalled the 64 bit version but still I am getting the same error. Is there any fix?

I am bit confused about the words "service" as well as "server". Can you double check the message? Do you have an idea which server this could be, e.g. a license server? What licese type to you use?

An error occurred while searching for service.
Could not open registry key.
If you are running the service you must remove it before installing a new one.
I am getting this exact error. Sorry I posted it wrong. I am trying to install it without internet connection. I have installation key

A log file will be of help here. Can you explain which was the last step in the installation that worked (writing / screenshot)?
And of course you can always contact MathWorks installation support.
