Error using websave - certificate rootcerts.pem expired, missing or invalid

23 views (last 30 days)
Hi everybody!
Today my code has decided to do not collaborate anymore :(...in fact this error message has started appearing a couple of hours ago in the command window when i try to connect to a specific website to scrab some weather data.
Could not establish a secure connection to "nomads.ncep.noaa.gov". The reason is "error:14090086:SSL routines:ssl3_get_server_certificate:certificate verify failed". Check your certificate file (C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2018b\sys\certificates\ca\rootcerts.pem) for expired, missing or invalid certificates.
I have checked if other discussions about the same trouble were available but nothign seems to be similar to mine.

I understand, you are trying to connect to a website and getting an error related to certificate verification. Kindly follow the following link as a workaround to resolve the issue:

hi, could you show me the lines you used to solve the issue?
I'm using this:
options=weboptions;
options.CertificateFilename=('');
websave(URL,options);
But is not working. it says: Unrecognized function or variable 'URL'.
