unzip matlab_R2022a_glnxa.zip -d matlab generates files and subdirectories in matlab directory
next running: sudo ./install commence the installation, but the installation process stops after having generated a small matlab icon (which seem to show an image of the request to enter my email)

        Hi,
I understand you are getting blank screen while trying to install MATLAB on ubuntu. You can follow the steps to resolve the issue:
- Move the installer folder to /opt/
 - Give root ownership of the installer folder (for example: chown -R root:root matlab_R2023a_glnxa64)
 - Run the installer from this folder as root

I hope this helps you.
