I work on a MAC for development as well as on a Windows laptop. I am assuming I can install the same license on both

It depends on the type of licence you have. In my opinion, it would be best to contact MathWorks support(Contact Us - MATLAB & Simulink (mathworks.com)) for licensing issues.

Hi Raja,
As per my understanding from your question, you want to install MATLAB on windows and macOS using same licence
You can activate MATLAB Home on two computers but use it on one computer at a time.
For more information you can refer to MatLab Home License on Multiple Computers
For information on the licensing policies for the Individual license option, see the Software License Agreement by running the following command in MATLAB command window:
edit(fullfile(matlabroot,'license_agreement.txt'))
If you still have any doubts, feel free to reach out to MathWorks support: MathWorks Support
Thanks
Kunal
