Simulink Real-Time Speedgoat 'build' error upon 'Run on Target' and missing configuration tab in 'Hardware Settings'

16 views (last 30 days)
I am trying to deploy the Simulink Real-Time example model to a Speedgoat. After establishing a connection with my target device, I select 'Run on Target' in the Real-Time tab. This gives an undescriptive error: "Error running 'test' on target: Error building 'test'". Thinking that some settings were perhaps off, I went to 'Hardware Settings', where I was met with a pop-up warning: Page "Code Generation/Simulink Real-Time options" is not a valid page. What steps should I take to solve both (related?) problems?

Solved. I had to install Simulink Coder. I found the error by clicking on the vertical three dots in the Diagnostic Viewer and select Report -> Copy All. Strange that the errors don't show up by default.
