Connection between Codesys and Thingspeak

Why can't you establish the connection?

From our server logs it looks like the publish and subscribe topics are invalid. Codesys seems to convert the "/" character in the topic to something like this:
channels.<1765311>.publish<1765311>
Maybe get in touch with the codesys folks on how to get it to not mangle the provided publish and subscribe topics?
