I am doing a research about the "effect of lightning overvoltage on solar PV system". My question Is there any suitable lightning model that can be used with this Solar PV model below. Im trying to simulate and inject lightning overvoltage on a few points in the PV system.

Hi Danial,
When simulating the effects of lightning overvoltage on a solar PV system, it's crucial to use a suitable lightning model that can accurately represent the transient characteristics of a lightning strike. One of the most commonly used models for such simulations is the Heidler function, which is widely accepted for representing lightning current waveforms.
The Heidler function is mathematically expressed as:

where:
is the current at time
,
is the peak current,
and
are time constants that determine the rise time and decay time of the waveform, respectively,
is a dimensionless shaping parameter that adjusts the steepness of the rise to the peak current.
I hope it helps!
