Import IBIS-AMI models into Signal Integrity Toolbox

10 views (last 30 days)
I would like to use IBIS-AMI models (generated from Keysight ADS) in the Signal Integrity Toolbox. It seems like this is a new feature, and I can't find anything in help or online on how to do this. I can see there is an import IBIS model menu item, and I did that. But I don't know how to access the model once it's imported. Also are there any tutorials on general use of the Signal Integrity Toolbox?
Thank you.

To access the IBIS-AMI model after it's been imported, you'll need to add a "Differential Buffer Element", which is on the toolstrip shown below.
After it's been placed on the schematic sheet, you right-click on the element and click "Select IBIS File & Model". From there, you'll be able to select and use the IBIS-AMI model you imported.
A good example to look at that covers several topics is the Analyze Backplane with Line Cards example.
