I would like to publish a MATLAB app in a journal. This journal requires that any software published there will be under one of several licenses (attaching the list at the bottom). However, the MATLAB program offering guide states that "If you are distributing an Application, you must accompany the Application with a written Application License" ....“Application License” means a license for an Application that contains terms and conditions that (a) are at least as restrictive as the terms and conditions of the Software License Agreement.
I have no Idea if the licenses specified are "at least as restrictive" or not. how do I proceed?
License list:
Apache License, 2.0 (Apache-2.0)
BSD 3-Clause "New" or "Revised" license (BSD-3-Clause)
BSD 3-Clause "Simplified" or "FreeBSD" license (BSD-2-Clause)
GNU General Public License (GPL)
GNU Library or "Lesser" General Public License (LGPL)
MIT license (MIT)
Mozilla Public License 2.0 (MPL-2.0)
Common Development and Distribution License (CDDL-1.0)
Eclipse Public License (EPL-1.0)
Creative Commons Zero (CC0)
