please somebody help me with how to plot a 10*10 grid map and how to number the grid cells

It would help if you drew the sort of map you want, describe the format it needs to be in, and how you intend to use it in your code. We have no idea.
Drawing it on a piece of paper, scanning it in as an image and uploading it here (use the green and brown ‘picture’ icon), then explaining it in your question, will go far in helping us help you.

What i want to use it for is a workspace whereby i will have a a big square which will be divided into 100 little equal cells with numbers in each of the cell starting from zero on the top left cell to 9 on the first row and so on till it reaches 100 on the bottom right cell. i actually want to design a genetic algorithm for static path planning which will allow an autonomous vehicle (can be represented by an object)to navigate from an initial position (say cell 2) to a final position (say cell 80) while avoiding some of the cells within the square which will represent static obstacles. If understand what i mean, please kindly offer some help as it may take couple of days to be able to send the idea on a paper.
