There used to be an option to enable emacs key bindings in the Matlab editor. I recently switched to the 2011A version, and that option now seems to be gone. Is there a was to do this that I'm not aware. I know you can link to an external editor, but then you don't have the convenient breakpointing capability that the Matlab editor provides.

You can download old keyboard shortcut sets from the file exchange. Christina wrote up the instructions in a desktop blog post: http://blogs.mathworks.com/desktop/2010/11/22/downloading-keyboard-shortcut-sets-in-r2010b/
