How feature extraction is possible other than regionprops?

I have segmented a X-ray image using active contour model, I have to calculate features like area,radius,perimeter, I want to extract without using region props.How it is possible? If regionprops is applied on this image it gives errors.

So you want to rewrite regionprops on your own rather than just fix why it's not working? Why not just fix it? Where is your binary image? What are those red lines? Why are the lines connecting the different regions?

Yes, I want to calculate all the values that can be calculated using regionprops. The image is a segmented image,obtained by implementing active contour model or snake. The red line indicates the contour line of each segmented region.But for further work I have to calculated all features like area,perimeter,mean intensity,aspect ratio,moments,eccentricity,circularity. I can't do much without your image or your segmentation code. Also, I'm not going to rewrite regionprops for you. You're on your own for that! I've got better ways to spend my valuable time and think you would too. Good luck though.
