Hello all,
I am interested in Chromatic adaptation transform by using Bradford transformation.
In order to calculate Bradford 3x3 matrix, I need to have source white and destination white patch...when having a Bradford 3x3 matrix, I can easily transform image from source to destination illuminant space.
My question is: source and destination patches, do they have to be white?
For example, if I have a same person on two images with different illuminants, can I use patch of skin instead of white patch to bulid Bradford matrix?
Regards, Matija.

This is a great question (which I don't know the answer to), but seems more of a color science question than a Matlab-specific question. I have not found a good forum for color science questions (but would love to know of one). You could try posting it on https://www.researchgate.net/topics?ev=nav_discussions .
