hold the value of joystick and check it?

Hi everyone,

I need some help please

How can i save data that come from joystick which control AV in X-plane software and if i get zero i go back to the previous value for example? If we get value of x and it equal to 4 then we get other value from joystick and it was x=0 so we want the AV to go back to x=4 and hold it until it get new value from joystick.
