MATLAB R2013a coder build taking a long time.

My MATLAB R2013a coder application took 2 hours to build a project with one function. Here is the function

function y=test(x)  %#codegen
y=x*2;
end

Is there any obvious reason for such a slow compilation? My laptop is pretty decent in terms of specifications. Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz, 4 GB RAM. I have a very big project that I want to build that might take days at this speed. Please help.

That is definitely not expected. Could you post more detail about how you built the project? Did you change any options? What are the types and sizes of the input x? And so on...
