How do I get an m-file to read from a GUI interface specified directory?

1 view (last 30 days)
I am trying to get an m-file to work from within a GUI interface. My m-file reads jpgs from within a specified path directory and then averages them together. How do i change the m-file so that it reads the jpgs from a path directory specified by the GUI user?
I am very new to this GUI and MATLAB programming so please try and make the answer as simple as possible.
Many thanks

This depends on where the specified path is stored. If you write it to the GUIDATA and call the M-file from a callback of one of the GUI's elements, you could get it using GUIDATA again and use it as input argument of the N-file. But there are dozens of other possibilities. So please post more details.
