Why is a "Matlab Coder" floating license checked out when running a simple Simulink simulation in accelerator mode.?

I have a fixed license for Matlab and Simulink, and when I run my fairly simple model in "Accelerator" mode, it works fine without needing any other licenses. But if I am on the network, and run the same model in Accelerator mode, it checks out a "Matlab Coder" toolbox license from the floating license server when the model runs. This ties up the "Matlab Coder" license seat, and we only have a limited number of seats, which are needed for actual code generation. Is seems it is possible to run accelerator simulations without the coder, because I do it when I am off the network. So, how can I disable or configure the simulation to not pull that license? Is this normal behavior for the accelerator?

Apparently, this is a known bug. The Matlab Coder license is pulled when Simulink is run in Accelerator mode in 2013a. There is a patch, here: https://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/945260
