Why am I unable to enter my email address or password to login to the R2010b installer on RedHat?

When installing MATLAB 7.11 (R2010b) using the Internet, I am unable to enter my email address and/or password for my MathWorks Account information.

Note: This article addresses R2010b on RedHat specifically. If you are using a more recent release of MATLAB, please view this article.

This is a bug on RedHat distributions that locks out your keyboard.

To work around this issue, select the "File Installation Key (FIK)" radial button and then toggle back to the "login to MathWorks Account" button. You should now be able to enter your account information.
