importEMDBoard(project,path)
imports an IBIS EMD (electrical module description) board description from the specified
file into the signal integrity project.
While importing .emd files for post-layout
verification, you can also import relevant .ibs and S-parameter
files.
Before importing the .emd files, the function runs
ibischk to validate the file. You can access the validation results
from the Import and Setup History tab of the Import Board dialog box.
The importEMDBoard function also copies all the S-parameter files
and the .ibs files (and all the files the .ibs file
points to, including .ami, .pkg, and
.dll files) referenced by the EMD file to the
<project>/layout/boards/<EMD filename>/ folder.
To use the full S-parameter files in pre-layout, you need to browse to the layout folder
and import the files to the si_lib folder like any other S-parameter
file.
