Field-Weakening Control of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (IPMSM)
Overview
This webinar will provide an overview of field-weakening control algorithms for interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSM). In addition, we’ll discuss the challenges involved with traction IPMSM control and demonstrate an automated workflow for calibrating the optimized lookup tables for traction IPMSM field-weakening torque control.
Highlights
- Demonstrate field weakening control to exceed the rated speed of the motor
- IPMSM field-weakening control explained on the id-iq plane
- Two mainstream field-weakening algorithms: speed-based vs. maximum-flux-based
- Calibrating the control LuT data through IPMSM flux data characterized from dyno
