Learn how radar system engineers can reduce the time required to model, simulate, and implement radar system designs and their constituent signal processing algorithms.
In this presentation, engineers from MathWorks and Altera demonstrate how MATLAB and the Phased Array System Toolbox can be used for radar algorithm development and end-to-end system level simulation, and demonstrate the implementation of algorithms in floating-point using the Altera DSP Builder Advanced Blockset to perform pulse compression, MTI , Doppler processing (using FFT corner-turn with DDR interfacing) and detection processing using FPGAs.
About the Presenters:
Michael Parker is DSP Product Planning Architect for Altera Corporation. Mr. Parker joined Altera in 2007, and has over 20 years of DSP wireless engineering experience with Alvarion, Soma Networks, TCSI, Stanford Telecom, and numerous startup companies. He holds an MSEE from Santa Clara University, and BSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Neil Ding is a principal engineer specializing in the field of signal processing and communications at MathWorks. Prior to joining MathWorks in 2007, he worked for a number of commercial electronics companies, including Texas Instruments, Cisco Systems and Samsung Mobile,. He holds B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering.
