Communicating with an Executable

These demos show how to communicate to other hardware when generating an executable.

To communicate with other hardware, normally the Instrument Control Toolbox communication functionality (i.e. serial, udp tcpip, bluetooth, i2c and spi) can be used. However, the Instrument Control Toolbox is not supported for code generation.

As a result, for executable deployment we will use the DSP System Toolbox's UDP Send and Receive functionality to communicate with other hardware because these system objects are supported for code generation.

MATLAB Communication

To communicate with MATLAB code that will be converted into an executable, use the dsp.UDPSender and dsp.UDPReceiver methods.
