Seven-level cascaded H-bridge converter controlled using phase-shifted and level-shifted pulse width modulation techniques. A theoretical analysis and simulation of each scheme, their resulting waveforms and THD analysis is provided. The harmonic contents of each scheme for vHB, vAN, and vAB are analyzed and compared. The LSM control scheme provides better harmonic results of 10.83% at ma of 0.99. Both control schemes have better THD results at higher ma than lower.
