Educational Moon Phase Graphic

Create useful graphics to teach the causes of the phases of the Moon.

Purpose:
To generate images that rotate and scale that preserve Moon/Earth size scale, the face of Moon always to Earth, and correct shadows but sacrifice the Earth/Moon scale distance for educational purposes.

Include any number of Moon phases along its orbit. Shows how to embed 2D images, with transparency maps to enable silhouettes, on the globe. These people are added at noon, sunset, midnight, and sunrise.
