This simulation is used full to understand the dynamic braking of DC machine.
In these simulation as we know about theory, the dc voltage cutt and the braking is applied so that the resistor are connected to the armature, so that braking is applied.
as we know the resistor value is nearer to the zero then braking is fast applied and the more value of resistor the braking time is more compare to the zero.
so in these simulation shows the variable resistor braking.
initially R=6, then R=2 and finally R=0.2 so you can easily understand the different of resistor and braking time.
