Average Egde Strength (AES)

Toolbox calculating a metric for retrospective head motion estimation on MRI T1-weighted images

You are now following this Submission

This toolbox is for the computation of Average Edge Strength, aka AES, (1,2) on structural T1-weighted MRI images. AES, which as an index of image blurring, has been seen to correlate with head motion. The AES metric may be used in cross sectional or longitudinal studies to characterize head motion differences in the studied groups, and potentially also used as a nuisanse covariate in statistical models (1).
