Many bio-inspired algorithms have been proposed in recent decades for solving optimization problems, including the genetic algorithm (GA), particle swarm optimization (PSO), cuckoo search (CS), bat algorithm (BA), firefly algorithm (FA), grey wolf optimizer (GWO), and ant lion optimizer (ALO). Here we propose a new algorithm called the porcellio scaber algorithm (PSA), which is inspired by the survival rules of porcellio scaber. The files implement the algorithm for 2-D minimization problems.
