HOME AUTOMATION THROUGH HMI (by using simple finger gestures)

RED OBJECT DETECTION IN LIVE VIDEO CAPTURED BY THE WEBCAM

with the help of my project, you can control home appliances through pc by simply showing the number of fingers in front of the webcam. MATLAB is used to process the live video and counts the numbers of red objects (each finger will have a small red colour tape on it) then it will turn ON/OFF the respective devices depending up on the program done by the user. this will be help full while having a secret password for entry/exit in prohibited areas, and also only authorized users can access the particular electrical appliances, passwords can be hacked but this type of locks can't be hacked by others.
