sample position alignment
A four-stage process to align the translational and rotational positions of a probe using a webcam.

The images of a webcam are processed using an image recognition and processing code which determines misalignments of a probe and reports them to the user.
It is programmed to recognise key features of the sample holder from which the misalignment
can be determined using simple geometrical considerations together with the known dimensions and camera
properties.
