With VisualEA you can easily create functional models of evolutionary algorithms (EA), its variations, and other similar optimizers from the evolutionary computing family, such as particle swarm optimization and estimation of distribution algorithms. Simply choose blocks of operators (selection, crossover,...) provided within the library and connect them into the evolution loop of your choice, then insert the system or external Matlab function to be optimized into the prepared fitness function block.
