Find segment lengths for multiple rays/lines within an irregular n-dimensional grid
Within tomography it is often necessary to find the lengths of ray/line segments within grid cells. This takes a long time if it is implemented using nested for loops. This function executes quickly and can find intersections and line segment lengths between lines/rays within an n-dimensional irregulare or regular grid.
