Units for Matlab

This package provides units conversion factors and enforces unit algebra for Matlab

You are now following this Submission

This package provides a units class that enforces unit algebra, e.g. m*m = m^2, m + s is undefined, for Matlab. All the standard operators are defined, and many linear algebra, nonlinear algebra, ode solvers, data fitting functions are overloaded to allow units to be used with them (enough for use in a typical chemical engineering course). The package automatically performs conversions, so 1*kg + 1*lb is straightforward. This package is more complete and functional than previous units implementations in File Exchange.

Warning: not every function is overloaded, and many functions tend to silently drop units!

Basic usage is:
u = cmu.units;
a = 1*u.kg;
b = 1*u.lb;
a + b

Examples of using the package can be found in the tests directory, and at http://matlab.cheme.cmu.edu/2011/08/05/using-cmu-units-in-matlab-for-basic-calculations/.
