I was not able to get the peaks from my experimentally obtained data because of its random nature. As a result the findpeaks() defined in Matlab library was not giving results as expected. Hence I made a code which will help findpeaks() help detect the peaks more accurately.

It basically averages out the randomness by doing a moving average. Then if we use findpeaks(), it won't give erroneous results.

This is the basic operation
Data->LPF->findpeaks()->Better results!!(if you are using it for experimental data)

Type "help findpeak.m" in your command window after downloading the code. This will help you to understand how the function should be used.

If there are any mistakes and/or queries please contact me through my mail-id(aravind.p.a@gmail.com).

The idea behind the solution is that of Dinesh Dileep Gaurav (http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/authors/29892).
