This project explores the design and implementation of a PID controller for temperature regulation in a Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR). The CSTR is a key unit in chemical process industries, where precise temperature control is essential for maintaining desired reaction rates and product quality. The nonlinear and time-varying behavior of the reactor poses control challenges, which are effectively managed using a PID controller. By tuning the proportional, integral, and derivative parameters, the system achieves stable temperature control with minimal overshoot and steady-state error. Simulation studies highlight the controller’s performance in maintaining the desired temperature despite disturbances and process variations.
