What Is a Split-Source Inverter?
A Split-Source Inverter combines the voltage-boosting feature of a boost converter and the voltage-inversion feature of a traditional inverter in one topology. It splits the inductor and capacitor components to create a single power path.
🔹 Simplified Split-Source Inverter (SSSI)
✅ Key Features:
- Single inductor and one or two capacitors
- Fewer passive components than traditional Z-source or full SSI
- Supports both step-up and step-down operation
- Easier to control with conventional PWM techniques
- Typically used with a 3-phase inverter bridge
