Two-Area Load Frequency Control with Integral Action MATLAB Simulation.
This Simulation presents the Simulink modeling and simulation of a Two-Area Load Frequency Control (LFC) System with Integral Control.
Each area consists of a governor, turbine, and power system, with integral controllers incorporated to minimize the steady-state frequency error. The areas are interconnected via a tie-line, allowing real-time power sharing. The system is tested by introducing a 1% step increase in load demand in Area 1, and the responses in both frequency deviation and tie-line power change are observed.
The model accurately reflects the dynamic behavior of interconnected power systems and highlights the effectiveness of integral control in restoring frequency and maintaining system stability.
