The Vedic method of polynomial factorisation and consequent finding of the first derivative is more than an order of magnitude faster than using the symbolic math toolbox. This file demonstrates this for certain cases. Future updates will extend it to cover all cases. Please run the main file, vedictester.m, which calls another file which inturn calls the third one.
