A couple of simple functions for converting between geographic and projected Lambert Azimuthal Equal-Area meters.
Projection equations from Snyder 1987, MAP PROJECTIONS-A WORKING MANUAL, starting somewhere around page 185: https://pubs.usgs.gov/pp/1395/report.pdf
These functions were coded up by Chad A. Greene of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
