calculate operating parameters in power_cableparam

2 views (last 30 days)
Dear members,
I try using the MATLAB-function called "power_cableparam" to calculate operating parameters of a 110 kV XLPE copper land cable with a cross section of 800mm ^2. The calculation on the one hand used to check my results and also for future studies, to ensure the utility of the MATLAB-function "power_cableparam".
As results of my studies of the MATLAB function "power_cableparam" to the following parameters can be identified:
own calculation
R DC 0,0221 Ohm/km
R AC 0,0349 Ohm/km
L 0,370 mH/km
C 0,218 uF/km
manufacturer catalog
R DC 0,0221 Ohm/km
R AC 0,0312 Ohm/km
L 0,316 mH/km
C 0,216 uF/km
power_cableparam
R DC 0,0221 Ohm/km
R AC 0,0716 Ohm/km
L 2,228 mH/km
C 0,216 uF/km
The results show a significant difference in the resistance values of R and the inductance values of L.
My question is:
1. Does anyone know how power_cableparam calculated the resistance values R internally?
2. In the face of limited input options in power_cableparam, which could be a possible source of errors in my calculations in power_cableparam?
Best Regards
Dustin
