The Save As dialog in desktop MATLAB gives you the following options for Save as Type.
In MATLAB Online, the Save button presents the options in a different way.
For PDF, DOCX, HTML and LaTeX, select the corresponding export. To save with the same extension your script already has, use Save.
To change from a *.mlx to *.m or vice versa, select Save As and manually change the extension.

Mr. Cris LaPierre,
Please accept my thanks for your suggestion. In a Note, Create Live Scripts in the Live Editor suggests that "Simply renaming the script with a .mlx extension does not work and can corrupt the file". Is it true for vice versa?
Regards.

It appears to work, but that note would give me pause. I've shared this feedback internally.
