phased.Tra​nsmitterの出​力信号について

phased.Transmitterの中身を見たところ
出力信号＝sqrt(PeakPower * db2pow(Gain-LossFactor)
であることが分かりました。
なぜsqrtを付けるのでしょうか。ご教授ください。
