Stop getting debug output when I run a script

Hi,
Using MATLAB R2012b.
Whenever I run a script by typing its name at the command prompt, even though all the lines in the script are terminated with semicolons, I get a lot of debug output in the command window. I'm assuming there is some option in preferences to turn this on and off, but I cannot find this. How do I suppress this debugging information?

Try saying
>> echo off
in the command window and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't, search your m-file(s) to see if something is turning echo back on.
