Scene center for stripmap synthetic aperture radar example

4 views (last 30 days)
Hi,
I'm using this example https://au.mathworks.com/help/phased/examples/stripmap-synthetic-aperture-radar-image-formation.html#SyntheticApertureRadarImageFormationExample-3 for generating raw SAR data. Can anyone tell me what is the scene center exactly? Is it (0,0,0)?
Thanks.

Hi Rifat, I understand that you are trying to follow MATLAB example in the link you have shared but it is not very clear to me what are you trying to refer from the term “scene center “, could you please further elaborate on your question.

Hi Abhishek,
Thank you for attending my query.
By scene centre, I mean the range from the SAR platform to the mid-swath point which is often referred to as the "scene-centre" or the "reference range" in the SAR context. The example, in general, did not mention the swath size being imaged by the SAR. It would be good to have a bit more description about the ground scene.
