Issue with ksdensity command in plotting Rayleight distributed signal

1 view (last 30 days)
Hi All,
I am trying to get the PDF of a signal using ksdensity command. It is working fine with the gaussian distribution (distribution of a random noise). But when I plot the distribution of the power of this random signal (which should be rayleigh), it is not what is expected from the theory. Ideally power of the signal can never be zero, but when I use ksdensity command, instead of starting from 0, the PDF of noise signal's power starts from some negetive mean value. Image attached for reference. I tried to use the hist command as well, but am getting the same results. Is there anyway to debug this, or use any other command to get the proper rayleight distribution.
