Why won't MatLab properly download onto my windows laptop?

Hello, I recently purchased MatLab for my engineering class this semester and although it says it downloaded successfully on to my computer, when I go to open the software the image above pops up^ causing me to redownload using an activation key which I never received. the only codes I recived were my order and license number, I have assignments coming up soon and need to get matLab on my computer.

If you go to your account (this link should get you there) you can click on your license number. Then go the 'Install and Activate' tab. You will find your activation key there.
