Microsoft Application Virtualization - Problems sequencing R2012a

When trying to sequence the R2012a Matlab Package the Sequencer does not start the installation. It seems that is has to do with the C++ files which are installed before the actual matlab installation. All older versions where sequenced without problems.
Any help would be appreciated.

Please explain, why you assume, that the problem concerns earlier installed C++ files.
We are using Microsoft Application Virtualization Ver., 4.6.1 Matlab Setup checks wether "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable" and "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable" are installed. If i install both before starting the Sequence Process, sequencing starts. If they are not installed i can see the first setup screen of the first C++ installation and the sequencing stops without notice.

By the C++ files, do you mean the Microsoft C++ redistributable package?
IIRC this package has been required to be installed for some time. Perhaps 2012a had a newer version that triggered the installation, while earlier versions found a version already installed that was acceptable? Many applications require these files to be present so it wouldn't surprise me if something else installed them already.
