Plotting graphs for scientific journals

Does anybody know a good function or app or script, already available on fileexchange for plotting graphs in a pretty publication quality?
Thank you very much,

Yair Altman’s export_fig (link) is highly regarded.

Thanks a lot, but this is just for exporting or also for plotting?
I'm far from having good programming skills, but for these kind of things I don't find Matlab really intuitive....
Thanks again,
Manuel

The export_fig function is for exporting figures. You’ll need it.
With respect to plotting, you’ll need to follow the style guides for the publications you want to submit to. MATLAB plots are flexible in that they offer several options.
If you have problems with respect to plotting specific data in a particular way, it’s best to attach the necessary data with your code and a description of what you want to do, here. (Example plots from existing publications are frequently helpful.) We can help you get the result you want. I have posted responses to some plotting problems in the last few days, and I’m certain others have as well.
